Sounds like you need to move out.I ain't no property lawyer, but I'd bet you're infringing on a few laws by knowingly living in a property that isn't legally a seperate address.

I've informed the local authority about my living arrangements - in writing - twice, so they shouldn't be able to give me griefI'm a little more worried about the - ahem - 'relationship' between the owner and the tenant of the shop downstairs.

Use the shop address for passport and driving licence then. You don't have much choice.
