'noon all
I am back from my midday adventures. How has the day been treating you all?
(, Thu 11 Sep 2008, 15:09, 17 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
'noon, Weasel
Day so far? Pretty average. Got to work and back without being rained on, so that was a bonus!

You?

It's been great .......
The fucking cat's just cost me £70 at the vets and when I got back from the supermarket I found that he'd gone on dirty protest as a result.

Couple that with a fat, mouthy bint who can't cross a road properly and it's been a grand afternoon.

Sounds nasty, Swanny
what's wrong with puss?

I'm tempted to cancel the insurance on ours - been paying it for three years and never used it. They don't cover booster jags either.

He's OK
It was my error entirely - I forgot to get his booster shot done so they've had to start the course again. Also the vet had 3 tries at getting him to swallow the worming tablet and had to resort to doing the drops as he kept gobbing it out. I must admit I've been tempted to cancel the policy too but if anything happened then I'd never forgive myself.

He weighs in at 6.2KG ....... And he's not even overweight!

Bad Omens for me.
I dropped my mug at work with the kitten on it. Must mean something bad will happen that's B3ta related.

A day of bad omens for all
I ought to change into my lucky underwear.

1 day 'till Friday! Anyone up to exciting plans this weekend? If i'm not mistaken, BGB is helping someone move into Uni, but what about the rest of you folk?

6.2KG?
That's a big cat! Ours is only about 4kilos if I remember right ... but then she's a tiny little lady. With the mannerisms of a duchess!

Edit: weasel, this weekend will entail having a long lie (that means 8:30 am to me!), then doing as little as possible.

Weekend?
I'm going to London.
Will involve going to a pub in Brixton.
Going to a street party in Brixton.
Meeting up with a friend for curry.
Smoking.
Drinking.

@WeeWitch
I can't be doing long lie ins either, I feel unproductive. It's terrible. I'm meant to be a student, ffs.

He is a big lad ......
When we first got him I woke up in bed unable to breath and though "OH FUCK! I'm having a heart attack, I'm 30 and I'm having a fucking heart attack!".

Then realised that a certain young man was sat on my chest. He looked smaller in the shelter ..... I think they tucked us up with a ringer.

@SW
Moving sister to uni...Yay! Then Sunday cleaning the house to within an inch of it's life and maybe taking my newhew to the cinema.

Edit - Ok scratch that idea. Just looked and there's nothing on at the cinema.

Might just do some extra cleaning.

Kaol's weekend sounds more fun than mine....
but then, I'm too old for that sort of stuff.

weasel, I'd have made a bad student, having a work ethic that just won't quit.

Swanny, ours is a rescue cat too. She was the smallest cat there, and we thought she was just a kitten. Then they said she was five. Fab with the kids, though. Takes tolerant to a whole new level.

Crikey! She is tiny then. This is Jaffa

My two cats are a nightmare.
They shed hair like it's going out of fashion. If you pick them up, cuddle them or even just look at them then they dribble like niagra falls. One of them eats for Britain and then throws it all up because of the humungus fur-ball he's built by cleaning his shedding fur. They are constantly under my feet and how I've not fallen over them and banged my head on a kitchen cupboard I'll never know.

But I love them : )

@BGB
You'll have to get a picture of them put on a mug to replace the kitten one.

It shall bring good karma.
(, Thu 11 Sep 2008, 15:59, Reply)
My cat's pic is in my profile
but as you can't get a good shot of her (she sees the camera and wanders off) it doesn't let you see how small she is.

BGB - she loves to try and trip me in the morning. Our room has a dark carpet, she's jet black, and it's still dark when I get up! I now leave the room in an odd, shuffling gait.

Reason for my kitten mug.
So the other people, (all guys), who work here wont use it.

I'll just buy another.
