when I first moved to London I lived in a bedsit in Hammersmith. I used to buy a 10 kilo bag of spuds and crate of savers beans on pay day so I had dinner everyday until the next pay day.
If I was feeling flush I'd buy off cuts of cheese to add as a "treat".
