@ Loon
I am sure you will have more fun ooop North.

My nose won't stop running, my head hurts and I feel generally like shit. Everyone stop what they are doing and find a cure for the common cold.

*hugs*
eat lots of garlic - that way no-one gets close enough to pass on the cold ....

Vipros - really?

yep
you probably won't like it

*considers that this is going to be underwhelming and an anti-climax, but decides to proceed anyway*

*waits with bated breath*
Is it really nasty? I don't do nasty (well, mostly!)

Well?
What is it? I'm curious now!

damn, too many people are interested
I was going to say death, but now that seems really lame...

sorry

however, on a serious note, I am a great believe in the healing powers of chillis, particularly good fresh green ones. Thai style stuff is best for clearing you out

I'll stick with garlic, thanks
it was the "clearing you out bit" that put me off ...
(, Mon 15 Sep 2008, 15:16, Reply)
I do like garlic
And I have "cold tastebuds" so can't actually taste much at the moment!

Tom Yum Soup
as hot as you can take it and vitamin C until your fingernails turn orange. Nothing works better.

*looks sad*
Can you bring me some :(
(, Mon 15 Sep 2008, 14:39, Reply)
my wee girl is ill with the cold
(and a large dose of self -pity), so can you nip over here with some?

Ta, there's a love ...
(, Mon 15 Sep 2008, 14:40, Reply)
Agreed!
My Dad makes a mean Tom Yum Goong (goong = prawns), hot enough to blast your sinuses into the stratosphere!

Does the job nicely.
