You could pop to Pearson Park, where Larkin lived when he wrote The High WindowsEr... The Linnet and Lark used to be an alright pub about 20 years ago.
That's about all I've got on Hull.

The chap off of The Housemartins used to drink in The Mainbrace along with all the Hull uni rugby wankers, you could meet up with him if that is still there.(
