Vinyl was only synthesised in 1872 and commercial use didn't start until after the first world war.Beef's copy is a a phonograph cylinder made out of Pogrom Wax

Of course it would, you can buy original recordings that have been transferred to other formatsThe use of the word original was meant to describe that its a recording of the bell chiming in 1859.
