Yep, it's a W124, pre 1993 when they started putting the 3.2 in them but still labelling them as 300s.
They're not actually THAT rare, most of them are post 93 admittedly but the W124 is one of the best Mercs ever, before they started going seriously downhill. You can get W210 for not a lot but they're fugly with the round headlights.
I can't understand the craze for new cars, my mate just spent £2k on a Y reg Renault Clio, hasn't even got leccy windows let alone the rest of the gadgets!
(My dad has a W202 250D and a R107 300SL, we like the old Benzes here)
