I live very near the Virgin Media South London hubLast year during an outage they tried to tell me that it was due to the datacentre being flooded.
I told them to piss off because I could see it from where I was sitting.
They then admitted that that's what they had been instructed to say, and the real fault was due to some twunt unplugging the main servers.
I don't think that chap was in employment very much after that!
