The Judge Dredd cabswere in fact disguised Land Rover 101s, which started off looking like this, but looked like this once they'd been finished with.
They were built by Land Rover at their Solihull plant. Coincidentally, Land Rover is one of the brands I work for, and 3 of the JD cars are parked around the back of our design centre in Warwickshire.
One of them was in the way of a car I needed to get to, so I drove it around to the other side of the building so that I could get to the car I needed. They're unchanged from the 1970s production Land Rovers inside - link
Not so futuristic now are they :)
