Fucking cunting bastarding bastards
A small rant about jobsworth cunts, if I may...
A little background: I am Type I diabetic. As you are probably aware this means I have to inject insulin every time I eat, otherwise I'll die.
Last night I broke my last cartridge whilst putting it into my injection pen (they're fiddly little glass things and I'm strong, or clumsy). This left me with enough drugs in my spare pen to do breakfast and my lunch, meaning I'll need some more by tonight. I'm quite disorganised, but usually I manage alright and order some more before I get onto the last one, I've been well busy with the new job though.
Since I'm at work all day in a town 13 miles away from my home town, which is where the GP is, I asked my mum to nip into the doctors this morning and get a prescription for me. No problem I thought, my GP is a family friend and he'd do this no worries.
Just had a phone call from my mum, it turns out the doctor is on holiday and the receptionist won't even let her see another one: Computer says no, can't prescribe unless the patient is there, computer says no, yes computer still says no even though we're fully aware he will die without this medication, etc etc etc....
I am now going to have to finish work early and lose some flexi time so I can go to the doctors to get this prescription. I love the NHS, they saved my life and that, but I am NOT a fan of jobsworths. Think they're going to get shouted at...
(and breathe slowly, and relax....)
