is itAn Inspiron, Latitude?
The old Latitudes had a keyboard based switch (see Inspiron bit), but recent (+/- 2 years old) Latitudes have a switch halfway along the chassis on the left-hand side.
The Inspirons usually have a keyboard based switching system. Press and hold the Blue-lettered [Fn] key and press [F2].
