I've long had a theory about thatThey keep one person who is blatantly worse than everyone else, and ensure that they don't face any public votes, so more people will tune in the next time to see if they disappear.
Could backfire granted, forcing people away - but people are suckers, and keep going back.
that or it's rigged. Who'd have thought it?
