'There was an article in the paper I was reading yesterday about this, they did a big test of lots of people and the results were appalling!
The worst one I've seen was in my local, the old manager made a sign for the "Toilet's". After having a go at him about it repeatedly I ended up attacking it with a marker pen to obliterate the offending apostrophe so it now reads "Toilet s" a bit better but still not ideal!
