It's hereditary I thinkMy old man can only grow a small mid life crisis goatee, and he's a good 20 odd years older than me!
However I do cling to the sideys as evidence of my manliness, they're about an inch wide all the way down to my jaw line, and I haven't shaved them for so long the hair's about 1.5" long if I pull it away from my face. I have been considering dreading them for a while, don't think I've ever met anyone with dreaded sideburns (there may be a good reason for this)
But I wish I could grow a proper Brian Blessed effort :(
