Big up the NHS
Write every reason you can think of why you'd be proud to work there, and why you love the NHS. So you don't appear too simpering, demonstrate a knowledge of popular failings in the public conciousness, yet state how you'd like to help get over them - without being patronising if possible.

Also, simple stuff like, "I live near-by", "the money's good" and "I have a friend who works there" (if true, and the friend's not on the selection committee) is always good to put in to show you're normal.

I dunno.. I've been given an interview for pretty much everything I've applied for.. the problem is keeping the job..
