Yeah, it's a bit stupid really, if they cleaned all the film for the remaster I don't see why they couldn't recut the original from that film for the DVD. It does look like a print that's been to a million cinemas rather than a master that's been kept under lock and key. But I'll put up with it because it's better anyway!

Holiday special is hideous, granted, but I'm a bit of a completist. It's still better than The Phantom Menace...!

Dok - I'd contend that it was original in a lot of ways - one of the first if not the first sci fi (although I'd even argue with this, I don't strictly think it's a sci fi) films to achieve mainstream box office popularity.
