Where to start....it's just dull and depressing and the people are surely the most small-minded in the UK. I might be biased because I live just south of the black country and hate it.
But really, for a second city, Birmingham is rubbish. There's no reason to visit any of the towns and cities that surround Brum unless you have someone to visit (Hey, I could show you round Droitwich but it might destroy your will to live). There's some beautiful countryside, but just like anywhere else.
