TextsThough a statistic on the ITN site says that in Britan alone, 52 billion texts were sent in 2007. A bit of a convenient number, but still an awful lot of 12 pences.
On New Year's Day 2007, 214 million messages were sent.
Also, a lot of those will be in free minutes/text tariffs, of which a lot of people don't use.
Last month I used 36/150 mins and 315/750 texts. However, 3 do give me a £10/month loyalty discount.
and a free phone.
