That sounds exactly like me but in chemistry except as my bi polar has gotten worse my following of chemistry has dwindled to nowt.
*sigh*
I'm thinking of pulling out all my A level maths text books, getting back up to speed with maths then whipping out the a level and degree level chemistry textbooks I have. I'd not want to go back to uni until I felt I was back up to speed again.
I think my first priority needs to be dealing with what I've posted earlier and getting to the end of the year when I should get my driving license back. My days are far too long at the moment without it for me to even consider studying. Hell they're so long that I'm struggling to motivate myself to look for a job nearer home.
:edit: Dok it sounds like you *are* doing great things. It also sounds to me like you're capable enough of getting through university on grants and scholarships. I'm sure you could get support there to help you apply yourself better too.
:edit 2: For fuck sake. Now I've got an idea in my head about setting up a charity to help support people in school who, like you and I, have ability but for some reason or another struggle with school be it finding exams difficult, teachers uninspiring or just can't apply themselves.
