l_R(t) = \sqrt{ \left(x_2(t)-x_1(t)\right)^2 + \left(y_2(t)-y_1(t)\right)^2 + \left(z_2(t)-z_1(t)\right)^2 }
should be
l_R(t) = \sqrt{ \left(x_2(t)-x_1(t)\right)^2 + \left(y_1(t)-y_2(t)\right)^2 + \left(z_2(t)-z_1(t)\right)^2 }.
I dont think you really thought this through.
