Not necessarilyThe suffix crops up in a lot of psychological/medical diagnosis terms, e.g. paraphilia.
I've just looked up the history of the term on Wikipedia and it's quite interesting
Also, which I didn't know, paedophila is technically only young (pre-pubescent) children, there's a whole range of terms relating to different age groups!
