You can get free insulation if you're old I think
My grandad is getting his done, more for the fact that it's something he can get free from the government than the fact he wants to save money (he's loaded but really stingy) or the environment.

As pointed out above though a little education might go a long way towards it, they don't need the amount of money they're being given as long as they get shown how to use the money wisely!

Personally I haven't had the heating on in my room yet this winter, and I still keep the window open, because I like a bit of fresh air. It doesn't cost anything to put a jumper on if you're a bit cold, I think heating is such a waste of money.

Edit: @ lusty yep sadly so, I'm going to go and put the Mothers of Invention on now though in retaliation.

Where in Canada are you going? I'm planning a short break to Vancouver this year as my mate's just moved out there to do his PhD so I've got somewhere to stay!
