What the hellWas the school doing going through the kid's phone anyway? Sure confiscate the thing (I don't like the use of the word seized, makes it sounds like a drugs bust) after all they were breaking the school rules but going through the phone is completely unjustified.
Personally I think the kid's should just be left alone (this is something for parents to deal with) and the person or persons that went through the phone should be facing the music.
