Beef Worm larva
Sometimes also known as a Bott fly larva. Its a fairly large flesh eating maggot that I picked up whilst in the tropics.

Thought I had a rather nasty pimple on my shoulder that would not go away until I saw a itsy bitsy, tiny weeny, breathing tube waggling just above the surface of the skin.

Much squeezing and tweezering resulted in a very impressive smear on the bathroom mirror. Apparently had I left it alone a fly about the size of a blue bottle would have happily crawled ("eclosed", is the correct term) out of my skin.

Length- about 20 mm
