I've done a fair old bit on QOTW - check profile for proof - but somehow feel...well, unfulfilled.

Fuck all the niceties, I'm a fat git working lateshifts with virtually nothing to do and I need entertainment. Witty, erudite, scatalogical entertaiment. I'm going to be laid off shortly anyway.

Resident Loon - I have the utmost respect for you - a 'Mercan with a sense of irony.

I have spent many happy months in America, playing what I call Mr Disappointed pinball.

This comprised of me having an unlimited Greyhound pass, courtesy of my former employers, and a lot of disposable money.

Rules of the game - go to the Greyhound depot in wherever I was and saying "I want to go somewhere 24 hours away."

Worst result - Grand Rapids, Michigan. The dullest place in the Western world.

Best result - Eugene, Oregon. The biggest, longest, most sustained party I've ever been to. Where The Onion started, I believe.

Anyway. I sort of feel I belong. Thanks, chaps.

Just look here for the Home Sweet Home thread. Although Bert Monkeysex did his best to stamp out all traces of friendship and cameraderie, it survives to this day. And in it very nice people are very nice to each other.

Sure, as a new guy you may have a watermelon forced up your poopchute, but it's a small prices to pay to *fit in*.
