When we took my old cat to the vets(or anywhere in the car I suppose, although that was the only place he ever got driven)
he would get in the car, stalk round with an arsy look on his face, do a shit in the middle of the back seat as if to say 'I've made my protest now, you know how I feel about this' then sit on your lap perfectly contentedly and purr for the rest of the journey!
