It's part and parcel of having animalsKnowing when their quality of life has declined to the point that it's kinder to put them down.
Sad, but it's your duty to the animal.
My mate's dog got put down just before Christmas, she had completely lost her marbles and didn't know what was going on any more. Very sad day. His other dog (her son) just follows you around looking lost and moping now, poor thing.
