The Onion
I've just had a look at The Onion for the first time in years, and it's reminded me why I stopped reading it.

But the editorial cartoons seem to be something new - and they're lousy. Reactionary, unfunny, unsubtle... Are they a spoof, or in earnest? Either way, they don't work...

AS AL POINTED OUT, THIS IS A SNEAKY ADDENDUM WORTHY OF THE GOAT: Is it me, or are they shit?

I concur.
I only go there for the AV Club now.

Mine too
it's very good. And not as self important as The Onion.

Following your sneaky and uncredited edit there
(for which you win this weeks The Goat award) I have to say that it's definitely you.

Oh god...
That's the first time I'd knowingly checked out The Onion. I think it's going to be the last time.

Following an entirely unimpressive attempt at whimsy on the front page I then investigated the editorial cartoon. Christ on a turbo-charged petrol-driven lawnmower...is this supposed to be funny? I'm embarrassed to even be in the same room as a cartoon that awful...

@Crow
A quick rummage reveals that they're all like that. Maybe even worse.

Yeah, I looked through a fair few
And not a single one made me laugh.

I got as far as this one:

And decided I wanted to vomit.

It has it's moments
I enjoyed this one recently:-

But no, on the whole, The Onion is'nt what it was.

And Rockall Times is moribund. Framley Examiner seems to have ground to a halt too.

Newsbiscuit occasionally amuses but I really need something more stimulating.

Recommendations?
