SamSurely the person handling your call was doing their job although they might have been an arsehole. The whole threatening letter/not visiting/guilty until proven innocent thing is more to do with the way TV licensing is run and I'm not sure how much better they could really be seeing as they're trying to enforce a tax that is completely impractical to enforce anyway.
