Can anyone recommend any good games
for a PS2? I just bought a lovely new 37" flat screen LCD HD tv and a PS2 'cos I want to play some games (cannot justify a PS3) but I don't know what to buy.

I like "strategy" type games, not really a big fan of shoot 'em ups.

GTA San Andreas is worth playing through once
Final Fantasy xii, Area 51 is a good fps, and Sims 2 is good if you're into that sort of thing. And yeah, any Ratchet and Clank game is worth a few bucks.

And I could play Lemmings 3d for days!

Okami
Is the best game you never knew....

It plays like the 3d Legend of Zelda games and the unique graphics and atmosphere will blow you away.

I also strongly suggest Ico which is more puzzly with the kind of push/pull jumpy jump and er puzzles to solve while again being artistically amazing.

but you should really try any Medal of Honor title.

Or perhaps Fahrenheit (unless you're in the US, then Indigo Prophecy) which is a fucking awesome psycho-spritiual type strategy
