My weekend
On Friday evening, I was considering sending someone a valentine this year, so decided to skip the works trip to the pub and spend the evening composing my message of love. 7 hours later, I decided against it in the end coz I reckon it would have been like throwing a spanner in the works (that and lack of inspiration (or presence of counter-inspiration) which meant I had nothing more than a pool of ideas). And also procrastination on BBC News, Wikipedia and b3ta and in the end tiredness may have had something to do with it.

On Saturday, I decided to try my luck with anarcho-speed-dating. I've never been speed-dating before - let alone anarcho-speed-dating, so did not know what to expect. Needless to say, two minutes talking to a girl who looks like she's escaped from SuicideGirls with the backdrop of everyone else's conversation just isn't enough to get to know anyone. In practice, I found I had the best conversations with the ones with an international background. At the end of the event, al hope of conversation was lost when they had a Punk-Rock band and a Ska disco on, but at least I made up for my lack of drunkenness the previous night and got up and danced.

Sunday was spent exploring the nearby area on my bike (I discovered a big Tesco's).
