@Fredz: Being able to make the decision to go to these things on short notice is one of the reasons why I switched my views on moving to London. Unfortunately, I now live so far out it took me more than an hour to get there.

@Stig: Congrats on the new job. BTW, if you want people to come talk to you, just say something interesting rather than whinge about not being talked to. Patience is also required.
