I'd rather just ask what she's into. In my experience if somebody is comfortable talking about sex they're much more likely to be good in bed. Seeing as sexual chemistry is important to me I usually encourage conversation to run in that direction. Seems to help reduce awkwardness and build sexual tension at the same time =D

That said I didn't enjoy my experience of anal enough to actively pursue more but didn't dislike it enough that I wouldn't do it again if the woman I was with liked it or wanted to try.

I reckon whenever the woman wants - things are much better when you're honest about what you like.
