There was some crapBut the important thing was that he played it. That meant that new ideas, approaches, and bands got publicity. It's what public service broadcasting ought to be about.
You used to get the same with Mixing It on Radio 3 and - to a lesser extent - still do get on the Freak Zone on 6Music.
God, I miss Mixing It.
