Hmm
I know a Catholic nun (a lovely woman btw) who ran, until recently, a charity in Zambia. She positively encouraged the use of condoms as a method of preventing HIV and AIDS, reasoning that "they're going to have sex anyway; at least let them be safe". A sensible approach.

However, a couple of years ago I also read an article on AIDs in Africa, and a sex education programme underway. They showed a couple how to put a condom on using a banana. So the couple were confused when hubby, who was already infected, managed to infect his wife. They'd done what the doctor had said, and used a condom.

Trouble was, they had taken the advice literally, and made the beast with two backs whilst a condom-clad banana sat next to the bed...

I wish I wasn't making this up.

But yeah, for a very powerful man to be spouting shite like that is worrying. And as for the second link - I only managed to read half of it before closing the link in disgust.
