Internet censorship in Australia
This sucks donkey balls doncha think?

wikileaks.org/wiki/Australian_government_secret_ACMA_internet_censorship_blacklist,_6_Aug_2008

Legless, care to test it out? Does it actually work? I'm sure its unbelievably trivial to bypass. How can you get more sites added? If you could add various government sites to it, I'm sure that would be fun.

How utterly helpful of them to assemble all that filth in one place.

I Saw The List Yesterday
And there's no way I'm clicking on any of them - I really don't fancy a visit from Connroy's Gestapo.

This list is supposed to be the basis of a filter that the Government are trying to introduce. The idea is that there'll be two lists. That one, which will ban everyone from visiting, and another massive one, that'll ban almost all porn sites. It's called the Clean Feed. You can ask not to have your Internet filtered from the second list but the first list is mandatory.

Can't work, won't work. There's any number of ways around this. TOR and VPNs are the first that spring to mind. And there's huge opposition over here to this *ahem* technology. I don't think that it'll get passed into law.

Connroy was told months ago that if he creates a blacklist of sites then it'll eventually get leaked. So all he's done is give the kiddie-fiddlers a comprehensive list of where they can go to get their filth. Well fucking done you cretin.

Cheers
