Browsing wikipediaabout time travel is full of the most marvellous technobabble. Tipler cylinders; Cauchy horizons; closed timelike curves - I don't understand any of it but it sounds fabulous.
Got to smooth out those vacuum fluctuations or they'll destroy your time machine the instant it's created.
