Who's up? I'm up! Admittedly the cat had some paw in me being up at this time, but now I'm jolly excited!

Light you say the darndest things.
So you're up and excited ey? good for you. :)

Still a bit drunk from last night. I just phoned my brother because he's a big F1 fan and his girlfriend and her friend are still up and very drunk.

going to a friends 18th over easter. Hoping to get nicely sozzled. It's my first attempt at sneaking into a pub underage.

Or is it just if you look old enough (or are pretty)?
( , Sun 29 Mar 2009, 7:26, Reply)

but nellie (my co worker who i'm going to the 18th with) has been going to pubs since she was 14 so I guess not.
I got asked last night what I was studying at university so I guess I look the part.

the only problem is that I'm really shy.
However this time I am keeping my hands to myself and not trying drugs! I get too affected, and too randy and too flirty! It's terrible!

I'm missing the Grand Prix :(
But I'll soon be having dinner, so hurrah for that.
( , Sun 29 Mar 2009, 7:49, Reply)

gotta love dinner. Where are you? I'm having tea soon too :)

So my sig is more-or-less correct for Chains, but not for you, Vampy :)

Yeah was going to say!
Shame you're not on South Island - you could meet my friend Holy Gabrielle. She's luffly.
( , Sun 29 Mar 2009, 7:58, Reply)

the last time I tried drugs I spent a considerable amount of time paying homage to the porcelain gods and relying on the kindness of Nellie's friend to pull my hair from my face.
Her friend then wrapped me up and shared the couch with me to "make sure I didn't need an ambulance" cos I was that out of it (unconscious after hours of vomiting).
Yeah. Not doing that again.
( , Sun 29 Mar 2009, 8:09, Reply)

up until I started vomiting and then being unconscious I had been having a great time. I was tripping out something spectacular. and then my body decided alcohol and marijuana do not mix at *all*.

Despite the fact I got up an hour early for the coverage. Bloody wanky cheap Freeview programme guides.

/huggles.
how're you?
saw your reply on page one of qotw. guess you don't like the topic much huh?
( , Sun 29 Mar 2009, 8:57, Reply)

Fantastic race - I think I'll go back to bed now. :-)

Hey VC! *bounce*
Oh, yeah. I've been a bit frustrated with the recent QOTW. The people who run this part of the site don't seem to understand what makes for a good, interesting question.
But I've said my bit. And, I think, got collectively ticked-off in the newsletter.
How're you, kiddo?

just bopping along to my new CD (pete murray - google him, lovely lovely husky voice) and relaxing after working about 10 hours straight yesterday, switching from my new job to my permanent one in the space of about five minutes.
yourself?
( , Sun 29 Mar 2009, 9:34, Reply)

waiting for daughter to get up. We cooked lasagne, garlic bread and flapjacks yesterday, we'll be making muffins or brownies today... maybe sausage and mash too :)
( , Sun 29 Mar 2009, 9:40, Reply)

sounds awesome fun.
I love cooking/baking - although I cook mainly for myself so I can create some pretty, shall we say.. interesting(?) meals up.
A memorable favourite is vegetarian fried rice and vegie singapore noodles, using eggplant, snow peas, honey soy marinated tofu and various other yummy things as substitutes.
By the way - you have an awesome wonky face :)
( , Sun 29 Mar 2009, 9:46, Reply)

My face isn't actually wonky, but that photo was for some reason.
I say 'we' cooked it - daughter pretty much cooked the whole thing herself. I'm rather proud :)
I was vege from birth til about four years ago. Your dish sounds goooood!
( , Sun 29 Mar 2009, 9:49, Reply)

or she does it cos she enjoys it. That's awesome. Can we have a cooking session when I get over there?
Nobody really taught me how to cook - I hated the classes at school and dropped them as soon as I could.
But yes - I love my asian food! it's filling and has so many textures and flavours and spices!
( , Sun 29 Mar 2009, 9:54, Reply)

And yeah, you're welcome any time.
I spent a few months in Kuala Lumpur... the food there was absolutely incomparable.
( , Sun 29 Mar 2009, 9:56, Reply)

well I've been told that I must try the following things when I get to the UK
Haggis
Black pudding
some other weird things I can't remember the names of at this point in time.
( , Sun 29 Mar 2009, 10:02, Reply)

with chips, by the seaside, usually under grey windy skies with a threat of showers, with salt and vinegar, curry sauce or mushy peas and a can of shandy.
Christ, we're odd.
I like a good black pudding... I've never tried haggis though.
