Hmm. Saw that story a while back
Such families tend to give those of us on benifits for an actual genuine reason (I.e trying to find work, disability ect) a seriously bad name. And as for the price of veg? It's a damn sight cheaper to buy some veg, a couple of tins of tomatoes and maybe some lean meat than it is to buy a ready meal or cake. I know this because that's what I buy, being massively poor and all. I couldn't afford to buy readymeals every day. And while fat is a hereditory issue, yes - that doesn't mean that nothing can be done about it. While they may never be stick thin, I'm pretty sure if they bothered to eat properly and maybe took up some exersise they'd certainly be a lot healthier if not much more skinny. To be honest what I realy hate about this story is the fact that some people seem to assume that damn near everyone on benifits is like this, without of course realising that if this was the case the family in question would be such a normal thing that the story would not have made the newspapers.
