My advice is
to go on sites which by their nature will weed out those who rite in txtspeak lol. Not being snobbish, but if you have a 3 digit IQ for the sake of all of us you need to breed or mate with likewise.

So, the Guardian or Independent or Times or Telegraph depending on your political viewpoint might be the best way to meet someone who can, actually, converse.

a 'bash' - What's the form with them? Are they open to all?

Not being a paid-up member - or indeed a 'name' within the site - and being on my own, its a pretty big deal for me to go to something like that on my jack-jones.
