Dicewars!
It's a little mini-war game. Each area has a stack of dice on it and when it attacks an adjacent area both stacks of dice are rolled. If you lose just one die is left on your territory, if you win all but one of your dice move to the conquered territory. At the end of your turn you get randomly given extra dice equal to the number of territories in your largest connected area. It's a bit like Risk.

I'm constantly playing that and Conqueror, which is a slightly more complicated wargame (but still pretty straightforward).
