did you know...
That male seahorses fertilize and birth their offspring?

Hmmm...
Not quite true...

The males fertilize the eggs externally, same as any other fish.
They then keep them in a pouch (more like a blister than a kangaroo-pocket) on their chest.

When the young hatch, they burst out of the pouch. Not quite giving birth to 'em, but still pretty cool :)
