is a fucking rubbish film. I watched it today based upon the recommendation of a friend who knows that I mostly enjoyed the Saw series of films, and as such thought I would like Hostel.
Nothing remotely scary or cringeworthy in it. The main characters were fucking annoying and the only reason I continued watching was to see how they'd get it. Sadly one didn't which has led me to download the second one to make sure the tumescent little shit dies.

*giggles*
they're awesome.
One movie that scared the absolute shit out of me was Wolfe Creek - mainly cos I've been out where it was filmed - and there actually are bullet holes in the road signs and it's so incredibly desolate it'd be easy to kill off a few backpackers out there.

both real life and the screenplay. I remember reading it and thinking it'd make a shit film.

dies in the first few seconds of the 2nd film, which is even shitter than the 1st one. load of old horse spunk, they are. last decent new horror film I watched was 30 days of nights. the rest are just an excuse for showing a bit of tit and gore - if i want that I'll go to the pubs in Holloway on a Friday night.

The Hostel and SAW films are barely even gore-If anyone has watched any horror films from the 80's they'll have see all that graphic crap before. Take that away and you're left with ludicrous storylines and bad acting.

I like the Saw films a lot. Saw Hostel, thought it rather lame.
Struggling to think of any other good horror films I've seen recently.

And 'The Devils Rejects' are well worth a watch.
And VC, I agree with 'Wolfe Creek' - that was pretty damn creepy! I watched it when I was in Oz and my housemates were a bit freaked out by the fact that the nutter bloke used to present Playschool.
Also, if you watch [REC] do NOT be tempted to watch Quarantine - its shit.

...I did like Cabin Fever though, that was alright.
I would agree with 30 Days of Night, that’s a wicked film and I also like Creep (for a bit of mindless tube madness) and Last House on the Left is a good golden oldie (which is being re-made I understand)!?
Wasn't that fussed on The Devils Rejects, I must say.
EDIT: Aww I watched Quarantine last weekend, now that is a terrible film!!
