Freespace was AWESOME
And the sequel was even better, which is rare for well... anything. Crying shame really as I haven't seen a space-based flightsim on that level at all since. And I don't have a copy of FreeSpace 2 anymore :(

It was fun enough, but made awesome by having Bruce Campbell voice the main character.

I bought the game just because he was in it.

through Abandonia but they have most of the classics on there! Was looking for a racing game I used to play but can't remember the name of it which didn't help

Best game on Abandonia is clearly XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Although I'm hoping to get the Close Combat series installed again.
