I love working on bank holidays
The roads are quiet, no-one phones me to interrupt my web surfingwork and I can then take my holidays when I like rather than having to take them when the rest of the country is off too.

The one thing that gets my goat is that the telly schedules are all screwed up. But I don't watch telly much, so it's not that much of a problem.

I have a similar opinion
I don't tend to work bank holidays but I always work in the 3 days between Christmas and New Year. It's fantastic.

That's actually
the only time I have to take holidays, as we close over Christmas and New Year. But I would take that time off anyway, as I like being off then. But I'd rather save up the rest of the odd days and take them in the summer.

i work bank holidays and the Xmas gap if I can
Clients don't need much because they're all off so its time to catch up with invoicing etc.
