I do indeed play the guitar
Plan to try and write some songs in this free time.

Making anything sound decent on a £10 guitar may prove to be somewhat of a challenge...

it pretty much sucks. I don't want to bring anything to a festival that I'm not prepared to lose/break/have stolen.

But that won't be until they are written, recorded, refined, and done properly. It's quite the process.
