He wasn't too bad
I found it much better after watching the DVD extras which explained who he was and what happened in his earlier life.

For me, if a film has to rely on extras on the dvd to make the film more plausible then it has failed.

It made me feel quite sympathetic for Vincent to be honest. I felt a bit sad for Samara after watching The Ring as well.

I agree. There are quite a few films out there where you end up feeling sorry for the baddie.

My big example of this is Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. Every time I watch it I want Alan Rickman to win.
