Another vote for AvastI used to use AVG but the 64 bit version isn't free so I had to switch and have been very happy with Avast.
Just remember to either turn off its sounds or your speakers, it is annoying to be woken up in the middle of the night by your PC blaring out "Virus database has been updated"
