Hrm.
Distillers - Sing Sing Death House is awesome. Also Alec Empire - Futurist. Umm... Help She Can't Swim - Fashonista Super Dance Troupe. Also - Be your Own Pet. Oh, and some Modest mouse can be good.

Help She Can't Swim!
I'd forgotten all about them. They still going?

Yeah, more or less
I like them, but I think you realy have to be in the mood for them. At the moment I'm more listening to Belle and sebastian and grandaddy to be honest

I'm listening to Camera Obscura and Blur.
I'm going to see Blur in a couple of weeks and am suffering from crippling nostalgia.

Ahh, you got tickets?
Nice one! Damn. I haven't been to a gig in ages. I should get some lined up realy. How are camera obscura? I think I've listened to a few of their songs at some point.

Yeah, but not for Hyde Park.
Just an arena thing. Can't wait. You might get a ticket if you look... I love Camera Obscura. They have that wall-of-sound thing going on most of the time, all symphonic and Phil Spector-ish. Like a poppier B&S I suppose.

Even so, it's still Blur.
Hrm. Camera Obscura sound interesting, I'll lastfm them I think - have a listen. Thanks!

Welcome!
And seriously, try to get a ticket. Where in the country are you? I got Manchester tickets with ease :-)

Trouble is, no cash at the moment, just started a new job and all. Still, if they havent sold out in a week I might be able to get some :D

Garden of England ;-)
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Thanks!
It'd be great to see them live - and yes, nostalgic. I remember listening to them in school.

Ah, school
I once sang along to Girls and Boys with the girl who used to bully me. It was a beautiful moment. We'd moved on, she was no longer beating me up and calling me names. I have still rejected her invitations THREE TIMES on facebook though. I'm not an idiot.

Mutual bonding over Blur
Not bad! And yeah, I've noticed a spurt of old school "friends" adding me on facebook. Must be something in the water.
(, Mon 15 Jun 2009, 13:46, Reply)
They're just being nosey
They want to rifle through your profile. And laugh. I was tempted to accept. So she could see that I'm ok nowadays etc etc. But I don't care enough to open some bloody portal!
(, Mon 15 Jun 2009, 13:51, Reply)
Huh. The noseyness I don't exactly understand
I mean, who realy wants to know how someone you went to school with is doing 5 years on? Apart from 2 or 3 good friends I honestly don't think I'd recognise half the people that I went to school with, let alone want to be friends with them or find out how they're doing or whatever. And yeah, I understand not wanting to open a portal or something.
