Hello my dears
Christ it's sufferingly hot here, here being Egypt where I'm having a nice holiday, thanks for asking. 45C though is an interesting challenge.

Anyway, am listening to this: from someone on b3ta which I can highly recommend.

Enjoy the rest of your day...

Woo and yay
What's Egypt like? Are there mummies everywhere?

Are you sure
he went on holiday to see clones of his mother?

Hey, you never know.
*shudders at the idea of an entire country populated by clones of her mother, all in mourning for Jacko*

yes, and daddies as well...sorry, couldn't resist that...
am in Luxor, which has lots of tombs and mummies and so forth. However a combination of fierce heat plus the fact I'm having to do some work whilst here means we've only scratched the surface of what's available to do and see.

However a sail down the Nile was aces, as were some of the antiquities we saw.

Got this holiday last minute for the ridiculous sum of £300 for a week's B&B in a 5 star gaff - Jolie Ville Luxor if you can be bothered Googling for it.

Would like to come back one day and see more of it...one advantage of going in their "off season" is that the hotel and grounds and pool are virtually empty.

Now, back to DreamWeaver (curses)...

*jealouses* Sounds wonderful. I'm a lapsed Classicist so this sounds like heaven to me.
Am hoping to get to Paris in August this year and that will be my holiday :)

I shall be in Paris in August
*excites*

My friend is going to Egypt and I am very jealous, although it has cost her a fortune.

I shall be in Paris I hope
towards the end of the month. Got to sort out hotels and train - OK, train's easy, just use staff vouchers - first and will not be travelling alone :)

Sounds like a great holiday
Although, if you're still having to work, not so good. I'm guessing you're going to be going back there at some point?

Off season is brilliant, all my favourite holidays have been that sort of time - the lack of people makes the things to do even better.

Off season FTL in my case
the parents took me to Menorca in October one year when I was very little. It rained every day except one. Fail.

/OT - Saw a link in the newsletter that made me think of you ;)

Down woman, down!

*releases grip on Pot's shoulders and drops to the floor*
Incidentally, I'm cruel, but I'm not that cruel :)

AND I ran out of sherbet lemons! *cries*
